Benny Poo
Hello, I thought I'd say hi since I'm brand new and intend to start posting. I've read a little bit on the forums here before, but have some specific questions about the costs and issues that arise from BRAT ownership so that I will know what I'm in for and so that I can pick out a good BRAT. I'm already pretty happy to see that there is a community for BRAT owners still thriving. -BP

dec0y13
As far as ownership goes, BRAT's are remarkably trouble free. The 2 biggest issues are body rust and the CV axles tend to have a shorter life compared to modern CV axles. They are simple to work on and way fun to drive. If you don't own a BRAT already, finding one may be the hard part. They are becoming increasingly rare. They do come up for sale from time to time on the forum. You'll find the people here are extraordinarily helpful and full of knowledge. I think you joined the right group
