kirzick
Just bought a 88 carbed justy. It started when it was cold and bogged quite abit. The check engine light is on. Once it heated up, it died and wont restart. Seems to be getting fuel.I used a spark tester and although it has 11 volts to the coil it doesnt make a spark. I replaced the coil with a known good one and still nothing. Now what? Thanks
nipper
YAY A JUSTY! Pull the cap, is it nice and dry, does the rotor spin freely (bad thing). Is the timing belt in good condition (easy to replace). Get yourself a factory manual. These are easy cars to work on.

naru
11 volts is not very good. Here is a diagram http://subarujusty.proboards.com/thread/3632/1990-ignition-problem-solved Check fuse #1. It is probably the ignition control unit though.
