Subaru did it right for 2015

Recommended Posts

WOW! Was just looking at a new 2015 Outback 3.6R in the parking lot here where I work. Believe thats my ultimate Subaru. They really did a nice job this year, my hats off to them! Will still keep my 99 OB that wife and I have driven for 13 years, but am considering trading my pickup for a 2015 lol!

I drove one of the new Outbacks.  Pretty cool, but WAY too many buttons that I had no idea what they were for that were impossible to read or navigate while driving.  Drove like a dream though, great bumping sound system.  Traffic probably looked at me weird cranking Slayer while waiting for a drawbridge in sunny weather.  lol

People probably thought the MPFI EA82T had to many buttons and knobs in the interior as well back in the 80s.

But I agree, new cars are becoming ridiculous with technology inside the cabin. The who Star-Link thing (Like On-star for GM) is just another feature that is unneeded as well as touch screen radio units that can sync with your phone and what nots. Of course with all the added tech goodies, comes an added price, but then again, pretty much all new vehicles are 30k+ for something quailty. Just seems to be the trend thats sticking around

I'm just waiting for the day the drivelines out of these new Subarus are cheap and common enough to acquire to swap into the older gen stuff.  :D
