subarusaver Posted May 23, 2015 Share Posted May 23, 2015 Hello all !! , I am VERY familiar with my 85 wagon with the EA 82, inside and out.Now my 18 year old daughter has a friend at work offering her a 92 Legacy all wheel drive wagon , with a manual transmission for$1000. I believe this one has the EJ engine, I am not sure what the typical problem areas are with this engine. It does have 223,000 miles, new timing belt and water pump and I believe one new axle...............I LOVE MY EA 82!! and hope this EJ is just as reliable.......... montana tom Posted May 23, 2015 Share Posted May 23, 2015 Great car ej 22 non interference motor, timing belt & wp done,hopefully idlers & tensioner also.1000 bucks as long as it isn't a rust bucket is a gd deal. 223,000 miles is nothing, my 94 has 350,000+ .5 spd transmission could act up, some do but they are readily available if it does.
