Let's all try to meet outside a little before 11:00. If anyone has problems and has to show up late ask for the "USMB group" to get with the rest of us. Can't wait to meet you all. This should be a good, small start to hopefully more fun events:D . Till then,

Hey everybody,

Something I forgot, a head count! How many people, family or guests, are coming with each member? We kinda think it would be smart to give the restaurant a heads-up to the size of our party. PLEEEEEASE post how many, including yourself, are coming. Sorry for the late notice but a friend asked me to tag along and it got me to see my oversight here. Thanks again,

One to three for me...dunno yet...but...I did call the restaurant and made non-guaranteed reservations for 10 people under the name "USMB". I will probably arrive at the restaurant a little early to scope out the parking situation and so forth...so...it looks like this is all coming together rather smoothly...see you all soon.:smokin: P.S...dammit...I lost my website again due to my friends server getting shut down...oh well...:x

I thought it went very well.

I arrived at Des Moines about 3am last night, got home at 3pm today after staying a night there.

Picture taken at the RedRocks park:

I am having trouble remembering all the names but heres a start from L-R

1. Whippet

2. XenonGod

3. OffroadSubaruGuy?

4. Zoombaru

5. Not sure of her board name(Brittany) but shes the owner of the car we are all standing next to. Her XT6 was picked as the crowd favorite. Congrats! I especially liked the XT hoodscoop that you added.

6. TjDrury

7. Me

8. jmr052

9. 5280wagon

Special thanks to my girlfriend Joy for taking the picture.

Thanks to all involved in organizing, Joy and I had a great time meeting all of you and we really appreciated the location of the show, we had never been to the Red Rocks park before and I really was amazed.

I probably have furthest distance won this time, AGAIN, but Clayton and his wife coming from South of Salt Lake City sure did give me a run for the money. Even to Des Moines I had it won but to home, another 120 miles.....

780 miles one way.

WCSS3, the first Midwest meet and now the colorado meet....I keep driving further than anybody. Crazy me.

Miles Fox stole my record for WCSS this last time but he didnt make it home yet right? :) That outta count for something. :rollin:

I had a wonderful time too...first club meeting for Colorado...woooohoooo.

I was really surprised that Whippet/Clayton came all the way from Salt Lake City and Shawn came from Iowa.

My wife and I had to leave a little early to pick our daughter up from the sitter's house...but I hope that after we left that the rest of you went up to the ampitheater and checked it out. The parking lot at the top was full so we had to park down below it for the meet.

As soon as my website is back up I will post the pictures that I got with my camera...but for now my server is down...<img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/images/emoticons/ohwell.gif ALT=":\"> Zoombaru/Kellie definitely brought the newest Subaru...2003 RS? or WRX?...sorry I dont' remember...with 240 miles on it I think....but I brought the most vintage...and Whippet brought the one with the most towing power...plus a 5th-Wheel! I was in awe of Brittany's XT6..truly in wonderful shape and sounded super tight. Offroadsubaru/Asher's Subaru is hands down the most radical for offroading and he is looking for a welder to help him get his car another foot or two off of the ground...hehe. Jay showed up with dirt and grease on himself to prove that he was determined to bring his turbo powered Subaru to the meet. Toby's wagon was really nice and clean and now I would like to do the 6-lug conversion after seeing his setup...wow!! 5280wagon/Marco's wagon was in really nice shape too...didn't talk to him much..so I don't know his modifications.

Well guys and gals...let's do it again...BBQ...maybe some light offroading...or radical if you so desire...maybe Pike's Peak next time...I have never been up there...tjdrury/Toby lives near there...plus you have The Cave of the Winds near there too for extra entertainment.

Funny thing was that my wife and I sat all by ourselves at the reserved tables for about 20 minutes in the restaurant thinking that the meet fizzled before I decided to step outside and see if anyone was out there...and lo' and behold...found two people wearing USMB t-shirts and company to usher them inside. Thanks for coming everybody...and thanks to Toby for getting the first meet together...I had a terrific time.:smokin:

nice wirk on that little slide show jeff!!! i'm always open for a meet so long as i have at least two weeks notice as to plan everything else around it....... pikes peak sounds good, do some light four wheelin, just so the non lifted people can do some as well.. and just so everyone knows, im currently workin on an rx gear box, changing out the front diff and whatever else i can to get more torque and acceleration to the ground.....im pickin up the tranny later today, and another recent add on is the bumper bar im installing, when i get it finished tonight or tomorrow i'll try my best to take some pics and post em........no luck with the suspension yet......still thinkin up crazy ideas on that one, waitin till i get the craziest, and just try it, who knows, it might actually work!! anyway keep all thoughts of when and where the next meet is going to be.... i have heard rumour the the next rally cross in the colorado area is going to be at watkins motor sports arena, im not possitive on that one, but the date is set for the 17th of Aug........ supposed to be nice and smooth, lots o fun, its a possibility for the next meet, i'll keep my ears open and try to find out as much as i can, just in case........

Jeff,

Cool slide show dude:D ! I had a great time and am looking forward to the next meet! A special thanks to everyone who attended. Our number will probably grow from here. I'm looking in to a picnic or camping spot for the next meet. Possibly a pot luck type of thing. Let me know your thoughts on locations and we'll try to get it together! Thanks again everyone for making the first a success,

Hey I finally made it home last night. Had a great time in Colorado and meeting some members of the board. Went back up to Red Rock on Wed. for a concert what a fantastic place. You guys (and gals) have to many subarus there so I had to take one back with me. I bought a 94 turbo Legacy sedan with a 5 speed. The turbo sedan did fight going to Utah though. It quit a few times when going up steep grades. I think it may be the fuel filter, but we made it to Utah with it. I'll post a picture of it later.

I met the Legacy, it's SO nice! Glad all you foreigners made it back in one piece. Looking forward to the next meet, hopefully I'll be able to bring the RX.

Hehe...damn...okay...well here's one..."Rocky Mountain Roo Club"...RMRC looks good together...you think? Kudos to Whippet on his new additon...think I might sell my Mazda and buy me a couple more Subarus now...gotta catch up with the rest of y'all....yalp. Put my wagon back in storage and is now used only as a Sunday car until the snow comes...bummer...eh? Also have a couple kinks to work out...needs another front axle...luckily I got lifetime guaranteed ones...and still debating whether or not to contact the local Subaru repair shop that overhauled my front brakes and now they sound just outright terrible...problem is that I bought/brought my own parts...still charged me 200 clams for the labor...geeeeeeeeeez.:smokin:

Hey...how's it goin? Hrmm...I forgot your real name...dammit...oh well..but anyhoo...got a question/request for you. You seem rather knowledgable in Subaru "wrench turning"...and I was wondering if maybe you could give me a hand at something. My wagon just turned over 20K since the new engine and trans were installed...and...according to the service manual it says that I need to do a valve adjustment now. So...what I am asking is this...Do you think you would want to and have the time to lend me a hand at it? I have most of the tools needed...probably need a depth guage and maybe something else...but...I really don't have the money right now to pay a local mechanic to do it...and I have never done a Subaru valve adjustment before...only on American made. Plus...if you are up to it...I need to remedy my "vapor locking" quirk...got a couple ideas already working. So...let me know what you think...okie doke?...Talk to you later...xenongod/Jeff:smokin
