ktuuri
Hi everyone, I'm new to this forum. But I am helping a buddy on his 2009 Forester. The drivers seat cushion has come lose on the front left side. The seat bracket is solid and bolted to the floor, but for some reason the seat cushion is lose at the coroner. So we will take to whole seat out and check things out. There is a wiring harness for the seat and I assume the airbag. Can I just disconnect the Battery and that will disarm the airbag, or is there more to it? Thanks Ken
Fairtax4me
Yes, disconnect the battery, then wait about 30 minutes for the storage capacitors in the airbag control module to discharge.
Subasaurus
yes, that would be a really crappy day to have an airbag to your face. Edited June 5, 2015 by Subasaurus
