Uneven wear on All new Rear Disc Brakes

I have just replaced my REAR disc brakes. (Rotors, Calipers and Pads) Passenger side is OK! Drivers' side, however... The outer 1/3 of the New rotor is not being contacted by the New Pads. I figured I would switch the pads with the other side, being there was only a few hundred miles driven. No Change.Then I made sure the Slide Pins were moving Freely.They were. Figured it was a Defective Rotor. Exchanged it. No change. Then I figured it must be a defective Caliper. So I exchanged that! STILL, NO CHANGE!!


When you look at the Rotor, The Inner 2/3 of Is wearing properly. The outer 1/3 still shows the Brand New Machined Surface with some Oxidation. No Wear.

Is the wear the same on both the inner and outer surfaces of the rotor?

 

I've seen this one time, and it was due to defective rotors.

 

The pads only made contact on the inner diameter of the rotor, but it was the same on both the inner and outer sides.

What brand rotors did you buy? If there is another brand available I would try that.

Do the pads fit easily into the caliper brackets?

 

Almost every set of subaru pads I have bought have had the tabs that go into the brackets oversize, and they don;t fit correctly 9or sometimes even at all) until I file the tabs a bit.

The "Odd" wearing is only on the Outside of the Driver side. I switched the pads from Passenger side to Driver side and vice versa. Same problem "only" on driver side. The New rotor and caliper are the 2nd set I've tried!  Not the pads. The Pads fit nicely; not jamming or wiggling loosely.    :(

Was the caliper bracket replaced with the caliper?

 

Remove the caliper bracket and make sure there is no rust, scale, or dirt on the backing plate where the bracket mounts.

 

If the upper slider pin is the non-bolt type, remove it and make sure it isn't bent.

Update on the Uneven wearing on the Outside Rotor Face. I am not sure what has worked, but the Unworn face of the rotor is only about 3/16" or so. I took a narrow piece of wood and placed the butt end in the caliper opening on the back side of the brake pad as far to the outer edge as I could, and whacked it with a Small hammer to try to make better contact with the rotor. And I also tried to roughly follow abba4430's advice on brake bedding (Not to the letter though). Maybe the combination of the 2 helped the situation. Praying it will finally wear normally. Guardedly optimistic.    Thanks All!
