The-Big-E
After 22 years of driving my 1990 Loyale, I had to sell her. She went to a very good home up in Vermont. Now I am the proud owner of a 1999 Outback 5 speed. I am having issues adapting over from the Loyale to the Outback. For instance, when I unlock the Outback drivers door, it doesn't unlock all the doors like the Loyale did. You might not think it's a big deal, but 22 years of muscle memory is hard to get rid off. I can't tell you how many times I've got out to open the rear hatch only to have to come back around and unlock all the doors with the door switch. Is there a module or something to make this Outback more like my Loyale? Edited August 21, 2015 by The-Big-E
1 Lucky Texan
not sure on a 99, but my 03 unlocks DS on the first push, then, if the second push is within a second, it unlocks everything else. look for your security system/FOB info at cars101.com . Fairtax4me
I think 96 was the last year they had all the doors unlock with the drivers door. You could try rigging up a door lock sweeper switch from a 95-96 model.
bratman18
My 98 Forester only unlocks the drivers door. No matter how many times you push the button. It's annoying.

It was the most annoying thing in the world.
jp98
On my 98 Outback to unlock all the doors you hold the unlock button in past the time that it unlocks the drivers door. About a second extra and all the doors unlock.

About a second extra and all the doors unlock. My 97 worked the same way.
