drelenes Posted August 22, 2015 Share Posted August 22, 2015 I have had my 2007 Impreza for 2 years now. I have several issues with the poor thing. Since I bought it it has had a clunking sound even with going over small bumps. There is a leak in the left front end, and it looks like green grease around the axle boot. Now the check engine light is constantly on and the cruise control light is blinking. It has been bogging down while driving for no apparent reason, and now it will not start. Rooster2 Posted August 22, 2015 Share Posted August 22, 2015 Sounds like your axle boot is split open to allow grease to flow out. Replacing the half shaft, which will include new boots is recommended. Pull the codes to learn what the check engine light is wanting to tell you. Parts stores like Auto Zone, and Advance Auto parts will pull the codes, while you are parked outside their store. With no start, does the motor crank??
