ThosL
I bought a gallon of white vinegar for $3 and used it as a coolant flush. This is harmless right? I needed to get some of the head gasket seal gunk out of the system.
Fairtax4me
I did a van week before last that had split the trans cooler in the radiator and the cooling system was full of ATF. Flushed it with Purple Power. Flush the whole system (including the heater core) very thoroughly with water before refilling with coolant.
desertsubaru
I have used Vinegar and baking soda as a flush in an EA82. It worked pretty well but make sure to flush well with clean water.
