weslito2
I have a '79 DL and am considering buying a Weber carb since my wagon has so little power. I haven't looked at the current condition of my Hitachi yet, but from what I've read, this would be a simple way to improve the acceleration and overall running of the car. Thoughts? recommendations? conversion kits needed? Any tutorials on the board already existing? Thanks everyone. Wes

If you want bonus points, hook it up so that all of the breather lines go back to where they were with the stock carb (but using the weber). weslito2
Hey guys, how does this fit with the air filter housing?
spicypeanut
You would use the Weber air filter housing. It won't fit with the original ea71 air cleaner. Unless you modify it. Which is what a few people have done. http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/topic/142864-1978-subaru-brat-from-death-to-life-and-everything-in-between/page-7?do=findComment&comment=1279470

Loyale 2.7 Turbo
... Any tutorials posted on the boards? I wrote one, but it is focused on the EA82 engine, however, many of that ideas may be applicable for the EA71, so you might find useful information on it, which is here: ~► http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/topic/71510-ideas-on-swaping-a-weber-carb-on-ea82's/ Kind Regards.
