subakev
I replaced my egr with a used one, along with a few other parts (iac and maf). The car is running well, gas mileage is back on point. After a few days driving the light has come back on again. what should I be looking for to get rid of this code or should I not worry about it? 95 ej22
mikec03
On the 95, you also have a "transducer" [don't know the proper name] connected the the egr which has a diaphram in it. Its about the diameter of a half dollar and 1/2 in high. The diaphragm inside may be cracked. You should not be able to suck air out the bottom. Fairtax4me
As said above, Probably a bad BPT valve. The goofy looking black cylinder with the shiny sticker on top mounted just left of the EGR valve.
subakev
I'm having trouble finding that part in rockauto, is that the same as the vacuum solenoid? The picture looks similar
subakev
I am definitely getting air when I suck from the bottom. Replace the part?
mikec03
Of course. It's in stock at advanced auto and cost about $35.
Fairtax4me
Dorman 911609. Rockauto lists it as "EGR Vacuum Solenoid" under the Emissions tab.
