kgrove56 Posted September 25, 2015 Share Posted September 25, 2015 i put a used motor that has been sitting for many years in my brat swap over the original California manifold and carb fire it up ran fine but the radiator empty out as fast as I could fill it check the oil and all the way to the top with white milk left it over nite and still turned over pulled valve covers driver side freeze plug missing how hard it is to put in with out pulling motor out and should I rip the motor apart to find the missing freeze plug Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

kgrove56 Posted September 27, 2015 Author Share Posted September 27, 2015 (edited) I think I'm going to put a magnetic drain plug in in hopes it will catch what's left of the freeze plug. The access holes in the frame line up pretty good with that plug. Got 1 on order from the Subaru dealer, be here in a few days. Hope my motor don't rust up between now and then.
