pontoontodd Posted October 7, 2015 Share Posted October 7, 2015 That does seem early for the gas tank to rust out. Replacing the gas tank on a Subaru is very involved too, especially if it's rusty. You have to remove the entire rear subframe/drivetrain/suspension. Then there's all the hoses that go in and out of the gas tank.
