franbev
I have a 1985 BRAT with the stock wagon wheels. The bolt pattern looks like 4 x 100 with a FWD offset. Is that right? I want to get some wheels to replace mine while I mount new tires. It's winter here now (Minnesota)and this car has never seen snow so just driving it in isn't an option. musubk
They are 4x140mm, which are almost impossible to find in anything but 80s Subarus. For that reason, a lot of people either swap to 5x100mm hubs, or redrill to 6x139.7mm and use truck wheels.
franbev
Thanks guys, maybe I'll just use the spare but getting it out of the engine compartment looks like a pain.
Sapper 157
Thanks guys, maybe I'll just use the spare but getting it out of the engine compartment looks like a pain. What do you mean it looks like a pain?? Its one big screw that holds it in and once when you unscrew that it pops right out. Super easy.
l75eya
Leave it up on jackstands. Also.. Getting the spare out looks to be a pain? I hope you never have to lower one from under a van! Removing the spare from under the hood is like the easiest thing ever lol.
