Coachw1
I have a 2003 silver and yellow Baja, and the other day, my tow hitch cover and the fuel door skin both "fell off' while driving. I was able to replace both, but neither came painted...no big deal, was able to find factory spec paint and painted both and they look wonderful. Tow hook cover goes back in place easily, but having a hard time finding the right type of fastener to reattach the fuel door skin. I had someone send me a picture of the inside of their fuel door and it seems to be a very large headed fastener of some type...anyone have a suggestion as to what I should use. Though about pop rivets, have been to the auto parts stores to look at plastic fasteners, but have yet to find the right combination. HELP! Mark40
I used zip ties and its way more secure. Just thread them thru and and you're all set
lmdew
I just got a 2003 and the PO assumed someone took his fuel door skin. How are the zip ties working?
Coachw1
Thank you for the zip tie idea...that will work better than any other type of clip I have found!!
Coachw1
Just put the zip ties on this morning...esier than first anticipated, but will probably upgrade to thicker and stronger zip ties eventually...but the ones that are on their will probably do just fine.
