dp213
I am trying to get the ac out if the way in a 2002 Wrx so I can pull the motor. The problem I have is a small rigid tube sticking up in the way of the back bottom bolt. I can't get anything on that bolt. What is the tube? It stops and is capped about an inch in front of the bolt and how can I get that bolt off. Thanks Dp213
nvu
black metal pipe stuck to the manifold? that's part of the pcv system. that back bolt is a pain. if you look from the top, the intake manifold splits into two runners leading down into the head. i've been able to find the right mix of socket and wobbler extensions to poke in between the two intake runners and bend downwards to reach that bolt. Fairtax4me
You don't need to remove the condenser to get the engine out. Put a sheet of plywood in front of it to keep it from getting damaged.
