Guest moosens
Very reasonable fees and the area is not expensive at all to stay in hotels, eat, etc. A real bargain all around.THere's some camping there at Carlisle or others around the area. I think Ben said it's like $15 in advance for a weekend pass. And,they toss in some coupons and whatnot. Can't beat it. I'll wait untill we get some more responses before I compile a list. Like Dennis said, you don't have to have a true restoration.Just bring it as is and shove it in their faces. You will not be laughed at unless you drive a new Saab. Then I'll laugh. Guest brattysvx
It has been the middle weekend of May for the past 10 years or so. Cost for entering the fun field (not judged except some clubs do judge their own cars) is $15 before the cutoff, $25 after that. You get a 3 day pass for 2 people to get in. If you'd go each day you'd pay $5 fri, $7 sat, $4 sunday. Second car is $10, 3rd $5. If we get 25 cars/owners registered then we get our own tent set up. Moosens will cook!!! Now most people are saying there's nothing special about my car. Is there anything special about a 99 Saab 9-3 sedan cause there were a ton there! Its more about clubs and having unusual examples mixed in than anything else today. Sure it isn't a Lotus or other exotic but then again how many "normal" people get to see an EA81 anymore? You can even camp on site there if you want!
Guest Dennis
and seeing a 1987 volvo wagon with 18 inch rims was really entertaining too...

We'll see if you still wanna get rid of that 89 TW in a couple of months when I'm done doing some stuff to the house. btw- Mr Whirly=Randy
Guest ettev
Sorry to break the bad news, but the Carlisle folks pulled the plug on the Import/Kit Car show after this years event. Too many Vin Diesel want-to-be's got out of hand. Major police activity. Residents of the area bitched, so Carlisle Productions/Ebay Motors pulled the plug on this event.<img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/images/emoticons/ohwell.gif ALT=":\">
Guest moosens
Are you sure it wan't the other Rice Boy show? Carlisle was mighty peaceful that Sunday I was there and I didn't hear any horror stories from Ben,Dennis,or Jason Saturday. No Vin Weasels there that day. Guest ettev
I believe your right, moosens. It was the ricer show that got yanked. The one in the middle of May is still on the Carlisle agenda. Sorry.
Guest moosens
There's decent people with the collectable import and kit cars. The mega-stereo,mega-pipe noisemakers should have never been allowed to meet in the first place. OK everyone, minor scare, get back to making plans for next year!! Guest tomrhere
If this is still a go, and someone can nail down the date(s), count me in. Have to be able to put in for vacation time, atleast a month in advance, not quite sure on lead time for Wife's job. Will have the '82 going strong by then, (hopefully), and could tow the '86 in. It'll give everyone there a chance to see what life in the salt belt does to a car. Body work on the '82 is planned for the up-coming winter. With a Saffire blue, Lazer red, w/ Gold and Silver striping paint scheme in the plans. May/may not have a lift and tires done by then, but they're in the planning stages. So much to do, so little time......Tom
subarubrat
So what's the current poop? Wasn't there another thread for this same topic? I know I replied I was going but I don't see my post in this thread. Count me in for attendance. Lunch (burgers/coke) is on me if we have a group of 25 to get the tent setup. I will bring the BRAT and might trailer the 99RS Turbo behind it.
