No,we don't NEED 25 but if we get 25 the group is given a tent to use by the organizers....and at least two of us have vowed to cook a nice meal for the gang.

The main thing is to just show up,25 or not.Well worth the trip.Carlisle is THE event on the east coast.Even attracts folks from all over the country.

Ya know, you didn't actually answer my question. Now I have to sit here and explain why I asked the question I asked in the hope that I will sway you to actually give me the answer to the question I asked that if you would have just answered in the first place would have saved me all this typing. :D (That means I'm just pulling your leg Paul)

So, is it cars or people? If we come I should have no problem bringing 2 cars and 3 people. If I get healthy and get the heads I'm still waiting for, I might be able to bring 3 people and 3 cars. If the deciding factor is cars I would put a little more effort into getting the other car on the road. AND since the one car would be our 96 Impreza SCCA Rally Car with the 03 WRX driveline stuffed in it, I think it would be really cool to have this tent setup if possible.

the date this year is 5/21-23/2004

heres a link if anybody was wondering what the hell were talking about: Carlisle Import/Kit car show

and also a schedule of events:

Carlisle Event schedule

last year there was like 150 pontiac fieros, and 4 subarus. i think 2 of the subarus were cars that people drove there and parked and werent really on display - we can do alot better than that...ill bring the XT and ill see what else i can swing.

I personally think it is a shame that they allow the Fieros in. It's only because it is a kit car show also, and almost every kit out there starts with a fiero.

Also, I think the one subaru that was there got the wrong weekend. They do a Sport Compact Custom show in the begining of May. This is the show for what most people call the "ricer" crowd. This subaru was all chromed up with a super expensive stereo in it. This also might have been two years ago that I'm recalling.

Anyhow. I agree. Time to get some Subarus out there to represent. I really think I'm going to plan on coming out and trying to get my RX on the road and in decent shape. I'll even work on finding somebody to drive it out so I can also bring the STi or the Rally car if my dad doesn't come.

Keith,I really don't know if it's people or cars.

OK I've supplied links,Dennis has supplied links...use the freakin computer for something besides this board and porno....go! seek!! The answers are out there. If someone needs info not seen on a web page try contacting the organizers.

Guys, just stinking show up with all you can bring.Don't bring excess vehicles if its a burden,I won't if its a pain.I sure will try but I'm not sure I can bring more than the one I'll be driving right now.

Do I sound a little flustered?Too bad!! LOL

Carlisle is THE show of shows.Whether it's the Corvette weekend,Chevy weekend,Mopar,Moped,Mickey Mouse,Banana Splits,Popeye,Little Rascals,Snoopy and the Red Baron weekend, whatever!!! Just git yer butts there.

Saturday is THE day for the baord to meet IMO

Ben is local,he's the lucky one.

My intentions are to stay over Friday night probably camping to save dough.Motel if too crappy out or the back of the wagon like last year.It was too wet to pitch the tent at 11PM and maint. hadn't truley started at the campground. The grass was about 8 inches high and soaked.Otherwise I recommend Gifford Pinchot St. Park...I'll call them and get the fire lit under their asses so the place is fit for Subaru owners and their high class ways. :)

There's a chance it could be a full weekend for me if my family comes along. We'd leave Sunday late afternoon, after I win my award.:-p

guys, the count was for cars.

25 cars and they give us a section - thats all we need to make a dent on the car scene. they have rows and rows of the most obscure cars ever built - and virtually no subarus except the 4 that i mentioned above and a brat that a guy was trying to sell for an unreasonable, astronomical amount. everyone that can sswing it this year should...theres plenty more to do than sit around and looking at cars all day, i.e. swap meets, an SCCA course, wierdos selling parts for cars youve never even heard of and so much more.

i will post a thread in the OLD GEN forum in about 30 days to shake the leaves on this tree, this will be the east coast meet this year...at least the one i generally try to arrange.

this place is about 2 hours from our normal pine barrens meeting place.

stay tuned.

Thanks Dennis.

I need to figure out who is handling the SCCA stuff. I want to make sure that if we show up with our Rally car that it doesn't go "overlooked"
