MKPNG Posted December 28, 2015 Share Posted December 28, 2015 I have a 2000 Subaru Forester with 210,000 miles on it. When I start it, it idles fine. However, as soon as I put it into gear (either drive or reverse) the RPM drop down to 4-500RPM and the check engine light starts flashing. I have had a history of a misfire on my #2 cylinder. You can get the code red for free at Auto Zone and Advance Auto and perhaps other parts stores. Then once the give you the code you can come back and post it. 987687 Posted December 29, 2015 Share Posted December 29, 2015 Flashing CEL means you have a persistent misfire. What's the history of your misfire and what have you done to remedy it?
