Installed Lift, Now Won't Start

I installed a lift kit this weekend on Loyd the Loyale and went to take a test run and now it won't start.  I've never had an issue with Loyd starting before.  Won't Crank.  Battery is good, wires look fine.  There is a noise coming from the fuel pump area.  Could I have tripped a fuel kill switch?  Any help would be appreciated.  Thank you.

Check the wire to the starter, not the big cable but the small one that triggers it, it connects to a small spade terminal coming out of a plastic block just above the large starter wire. That could have easily pulled off as the engine dropped in the bay.

SJR 4" with 275/75r15s. Need to trim the front fenders a bit. With the tire size increase and lift the upper lip of the fenders went from 27 to 34"

NICE!!  It looks great.  i plan on running BF Goodrich All Terrain KO2's 215/75/r15 as of right now.  Its really hard telling sometimes with the diff tire combos & lifts how i would like it to look. this project will get done by this Fall i hope.  I've been debating on a 4" or 6" lift.  I dont want to have to cut anything, but a lil cut might be inevitable?  I figure, spoob, i only want to lift it once, & i want it done right.  The reason why I think a 6" lift might be needed is due to the fact that in the Spring of 2017 .....After I finish the "Pacific Crest Trail" this 2016, I plan on traveling back East to the "Appalachian Trail" where i would like to do TRAIL MAGIC  (helping,feeding,giving rides to Hikers into & out of towns to get resupplied on food,beer & rest!) for HIKERS walking the 2,189 mile trail from Georgia to Maine.

   During this 2-3 month stint i want to pull a 16ft 1500lbs max travel trailer with me as home base.  I know that i will need to upgrade the engine.  I still need to do a more research on the best engine swap combo for the loyale.  I'm sure SJR would know?  Right now Now i'm just glad its running & has new tires, mine has a few kinks but Is As CLEAN as any Loyale could be for a Colorado Grandma owning it NEW till 2013.  I have plans for it as soon as i SELL my...WAIT FOR IT???? it might be a NO NO to post this on this site but......JEEP.  1976 CJ-7...IM OVER THE WHOLE JEEP THANG

Sweet jeep! I would hold on to that one.

 

As far as an engine goes, with larger tires and towing you want I would suggest the 3.6 H6 as it has good torque, another choice would be the 2.5L turbo from the STi or Forrester XT/Baja Turbo with the 4EAT auto trans. Also think about gearing, in Jeep land you can always buy any ratio you want but we are pretty much stuck with the ratio you have. If you lock your stock tranny in low you are now geared right for about a 30in tire and you can lock the ratio in low independent of the 2WD/4WD shift. If you want a low ratio beyond that you have to splice in a T-case and for that you need at least 8in of lift but it makes your life easier because the engine and tranny stay at their stock location, then you can go as low as you want in gearing. Just as something else to consider in your selection.

If you are planning a lot of towing I wouldn't recommend a 6" lift.  Since you'll be stressing the CV joints with the lift alone adding a trailer maybe too much stress.  The CJ is a good tow option for running the Appalachian Trail for people.  That sounds like a fun summer.

I really like the wagon for 2017 because i can shuttle more people & gear + r-rack. #lookcooler 

    i could get a double layer hitch rack & safari rack for the sunrider top on my CJ, but i honestly dont want to. Thats alot of hoofing to get gear up top for tired hikers & myself >being somewhat handicap. (hence the Auto Trans,,,i dont need anymore stress on my left knee<  if i have to go 2 more inches thats whats gonnaa happen., it just seems like a aweful lot.  i need it to work great & look great.  ive never bought a new car i guess other than my JEEP but it took 5k for it to look like it does, it also hasnt seen a real road or served the purpose i intended since i started work on it.  i wanted my first car to be a jeep & had dreams about having 1 one day.  i have a new mission.  the jeep is still pimp, but the LWC  (loyalewithcheese) is something different.  it literally could have just pulled out of the assembly line! -- A QUARTER PANEL & RIGHT SIDE DOOR...assumed the old lady pulled into the garage wrong 1 day...lol.   It deserves to be treated like a loyale should. (((( AND Very few people are able))  all info is being taken to heart.  My best friend is a Subie Tech but hasnt worked on cars of this Gen...so we are both learning. He recently lifted his 2013 WRX 2".  We're hoping we can do most of it INHOUSE, but comletely expect to rely on any & all help since we've never done something all this serious.

felt great , its been 6 monbhs since i drove it....i havent really used it much at all since im constantly traveling & hiking around the country & slowly  getting the last touches done.  but now i dont even want it anymore & just doing it to get it sold-ish..?  its been used 6x in 4 yrs.  Eventually i'll get it off my hands.  thats the plan anyway.  i just need to find a buyer here in CO that makes in worth shipping out here or someone who will come pick it up.  Its worth a SOLID 8-10 top$$ i believe if i finish up the front & rear diff

How's the D30 hold up to the V8?   My buddy/engineer that has worked on it literally the whole build has a massive  ditchy-ish cornfield  & 29 acres of woods to play on.  we never had an issue except he pulled me out with a winch on his truck that we ended up threading thru the eye hook on the front bumper to get me pulled out

it pulled/threw me like what i might expect a dragster threw an uphill cornfield ... it ABSOLUTELY HAULS BUTT... till i swaped the cam for a closer to stock version drove it once since in August....I'll ask my Guy if he still has the Cam he pulled... apparently it had to have 60-40 tractor gear oil.  we only changed it once. it felt/sounded intense.
