rdweninger
Hello all. I need a new fuel pump for my carbed EA82 wagon. Has anyone ever bought one from RockAuto or local parts store? Or know of a replacement brand and part number? I would like to go with a new one ... ie, not used.

Rust
http://www.pefp.com/make/Subaru.html I have had good results using this brand, can get through rock auto on the cheap.
somick
Roach Auto database is very inaccurate. They will send you a wrong part and you will pay for the return shipment. We have plenty of threads here about new/replacement fuel pumps. I believe Ford's pump will fit. Try to search. Good luck, Sam
Loyale 2.7 Turbo
... I believe Ford's pump will fit ... Yes, the one from the Secondary fuel Tank off a F-150 ford, works like a direct fit. Kind Regards.
rdweninger
Thanks for the replies... however, I must be missing something. I read about the Ford F-150 fuel pump ... but I thought that was EFI. My 1985 EA82 wagon is carbed. Jeszek, did you put a new fuel pump in your Beast? If so, what year F-150 should I be telling the parts guy to lookup on his computer?
Quidam
Go to Rock Auto and look in fuel/air for an 86 gl OHC. If you want plug and play match the looks of your fuel pump with one listed.
Loyale 2.7 Turbo
... Jeszek, did you put a new fuel pump in your Beast? ... No, it continues functioning with its original one which already has more than thirty years old; the Weber carburetors really doesn't need too much pressure; I've used my "BumbleBeast" for almost ten years without the fuel Return line hooked, and now a year with the return line hooked, it really doesn't make any difference in the fuel supply nor on the carburetor's behaviour. A Carb fuel Pump has a Diaphragm, and that delivers fuel at around 2-3 psi, while the EFi fuel Pump has a Rotatory Vane, and delivers fuel at around 50 psi; too much pressure for Carburetors. Sorry for the confusion, my mistake. Kind Regards.
