hweisber Posted February 16, 2016 Share Posted February 16, 2016 On first trip of day (in winter), 2009 Forester dies at stop sign, usually preceded by rough idle & then check engine light goes on. fishy Posted February 16, 2016 Share Posted February 16, 2016 (edited) Some questions for my curiosity and everyone's diagnostic help: Is your car an automatic or manual?If it's an automatic can you try shifting into Neutral before stopping to see if the engine still dies?Do you know what code the ECU is throwing to set off the check engine light?
