1 Lucky Texan
any chance there has been rodent damage to wiring? There have been some people experience ice/snow/mud pulling that connector out too. In the back around the evap canister I think. bad/loose gas cap is sometimes mentioned in connection with that code. bgambino
thanks LT I would like to drop that plastic box under the rear pass side of car but as u can imagine, the nut/bolts are in horrible condition. I am afraid of using a torch due to the plastic Anyone have experience getting these off?? Isn't it amazing how screws/nuts and bolts can sometimes be the most frustrating part of a job? Fairtax4me
I would also guess rodent damage. Vent control solenoid should be visible without removing the canister.
Bushwick
This link: http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2310341 might be useful. Has pics and steps that person used to diagnose. Some of it might be helpful. If you let a car sit awhile, it can still rust and get corrosion, especially if it has old road salt dust caked everywhere and that interacts with morning condensation. If not ran regularly, sensors can stick, wires nibbled, vacuum leaks are created, etc. Edited March 11, 2016 by Bushwick
