Jacek.01
I have a 1996 subaru outback. Previous owner obviously hated this poor thing and beat it to spoob. Replacing the bumpers I found I can't find the outback bumper unless I have someone ship one from a yard. Legacy parts are everywhere and I wanna just throw it on instead. Will it work? AdventureSubaru
Yep. Bolts right up. It is a little shorter than the outback bumper and accepts different fog lights. Any 95-99 legacy is a match.
Jacek.01
Will a need the grill as well?
AdventureSubaru
The legacy and outback grills are the same other than the outback emblems. No need to swap.
Fairtax4me
Yes you do need the grille. The scoop where the grille fits in the top of the bumper is about 1/2" deeper on the outback. You need the whole bumper reinforcement and cover. The reinforcement is different on the plain Legacy. Edit: meant to also say the outback grille is about 1/2" taller than the legacy grille because of the deeper scoop in the bumper.
