(administrators please post sticky!!!)

For those of you in OH, MI, IN region who want to get together may 31, here is where it will be at!

The Subaru Allince is going to host a memorial day event including a Swap Meet, Cookout, Show and Shine

and exhibits.

We already have the building, the chef, and the subaru stuff. really the only thing that will cost us is the food, shirts

I will try to have a PA system, so we can have a stage show. Like "you know youre obsessed with subaru" and stories. and we will have open mic for those who have stories to tell.

also it would be neat to have a "mock auction" of various parts i have laying around

We have an account for the shirts, all we have to do is order color and size. Shirts will be 10 bucks, to help pay for setup. we ask that you buy a shirt at registration.

for registration contact the office. please tell us where you are coming from, your make and model of soob, and anything youll bring for the swap meet

Maintenance On Wheels

ask for Josh or Erik about the Swap meet.

office phone (260)868-5006 call between 9am to 5pm

i think we really have something going here, as long as everyone else is into it!!!!

I'm going to try to come, but I'm not sure yet.

It kinda depends if I get my wagon put back together in time.<img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/images/emoticons/ohwell.gif ALT=":\">

thanx tom. try to pull as much interest as possible. it would be disappointing to set up an event to have no one show up!

i have been reading that you have an ea82 in your brat.

my trashwagon has ea82(but its pulled out for the moment)motor and trans, and front suspension.

since the trashwagon is outside, and needs work, i am going to bring it in and start working on it. if for whatever reason its not driveable by may31, i am going to put it on display inside the building. i'll keep a fender and wheel off to show my strut conversions, and hook up a battery charger to keep the lights on

my friends have agreed to put on a stage show. Me and Danny will have an improv feature (like who's line is it)

and "you know youre obsessed with Subaru" also there will be a spin show with friends twirling glow sticks to music(they're good!)

Try to round up some parts, too. I got all kinds of parts to trade. I myself am looking for a shifter linkage for 5spd d/r an ea82 passenger front door, and a pair of ea82 fenders.

No problem. I want to get as many owners as possible together. The Wife and I will be there, probally for both days, so we will need to spend the night. I'll have my '82 BRAT with the EA-82 engine in it down there, even if I have to tow it. Read to many posts saying that you can't put this engine in there without frame mods, or a lift kit. Well, I have neither, and it's in there. It's a tight fit, but it does fit. Just want to be able to prove it to people is all. And seeing as I don't have a working camera, an actual look-see for yourself is even better. See you at the meet, ifin we don't cross paths sooner......Tom PS. Sorry about the rant there, to many 12oz curls I guess.

Hey Miles:

I'm thinking seriously about making the roadie. Alot depend on family stuff. (ie I'm an old married guy).

If I do come, I'll bring up a pair of EA82 fenders for ya.

If I not, I'll be there in spirit.

that would be great! so now i know that ohio and michigan are in!

still need to hear from subystomper!.......................

Its quite possible i may have the trashwagon running by then. I got my head gaskets. I am going to port the heads from the dl's block, and use the block that robert has. I found a pressure plate and throwout bearing, but i could use the ones in my sedan(which came off trashwagon)

does anyone have a shifter for a 5spd dual range, if not, could anyone find one at a junk yard?

we found some ambient urban baja in town. you could go in there and take a few laps and be allright. there is a 60 degree hill to drive on the side of.

there is another baja 10 miles away, but we would need josh to take us out there.

there is another spot to cut across county roads, its a straight run through.

take a tour of the county and hit the ambient bajas around. there is a sand pit thats good for a quick couple of laps too.

You picked the wrong time for me, I'll be in Fort Stewart Georgia for two week doing annual training for the National Guard. Maybe next time, this time I'll be bustin' some caps in the rump roast of unsuspecting active duty tankers whilst I play OPFOR (OPposing FORce) :D :D :D

The '82 is up and running now. Still have to do plates and insurance, yet. Hoping to drive her some before the ride down. Looks like it will just be me coming down, Wife is staying home with Son. Her Mom's going to Kentucky that weekend, which leaves us with no sitter...Tom

Ok, help a gal out here.... Where is this? Indiana? I haven't called the phone number cuz I'm just not that organized. Can you gimme a city, state, and major highway? I'm sure I missed something (blame the gin and tonic and the cranky patient I had today).

You want Exit #134 off I-69 in Indiana, and head East. Be about a 2 hour drive for you, 115 miles. I don't have the exact address of the place, but that's where we're heading to...Tom

It happened today. Gotta say that it was good to meet everyone that showed today. Got some "pieces-parts" for my '82, that I've been looking for, for awhile. I be a "Happy Camper" now. We talked about many a different Subaru, looked at many different ones too. Gotta say that I felt proud to have people wanting to talk me out of my '82 BRAT. Just ain't for-sale, trade or otherwise. Have to think on it, if it was for a WRX STi though. NAH!!! The original founding members of the Subaru Alliance are so wanting a BRAT. And now they have one, a '79, thanks to James,(don't 'member his board name right now). Hoping Jim, (86 subaru), made it home ok. He suffered a leaky radiator, but not a "bad" leak. We definetly need to do this again, and maybe 2-3 times a year. That way, more Sube owners would be able to show. OhNoah made it up with his CIS injected Wagon. One awsome looking set-up, even if he has more tweaking to do. Got my interest peaked!! Pictures were taken of everyones rides, and should be up on the sites soon. All said and done, it was a good day, even if the weather was a bit lousy.....Tom
