Anniesball
I just bought an 09 Outback with 80K miles. It is a 2.5L Limited Naturally aspirated with Automatic. 20 miles after purchasing the vehicle the check engine light came on. I scanned the codes and got P0300, P0301, P0302, P0303. The car runs great but when you put any load on it it flashes check engine light. I took the car back to the (non Subaru) dealer and they replaced and verified the following: replaced coil replaced spark plug wires replaced spark plugs verified timing belt cam timing was correct checked valve clearance checked engine grounds replaced cam position sensor replace knock sensor All parts that have been replaced are OEM. I'm stuck with the car now and the dealer has no other option for me than to take it to Subaru and spend my own money. Looking for any advice or help as this is my first Subaru. Fairtax4me
The car doesn't have enough miles on it to even need spark plugs yet. Did they happen to check the air filter? Check for vacuum leaks, loose hoses on the intake tube? Could be a sensor issue, possibly MAF sensor if the car has one. Oxygen sensor is also a possibility. Caboobaroo
I've had a sticking EGR valve cause misfires on this model. Only other thing I can think of could be misadjusted valves.
Anniesball
Thanks, it's got a date with the dealer on Tuesday, so I hope they sort it out without too much $$$$. I didn't know this model still had an egr valve.
