86BRATMAN
A couple of you may already know that I'm back in the ea81 world these days. Been a long time since I found one solid enough to purchase out here in VA. Anyways, I have an 84 ea81t coupe now. And like many of these 30 some year old cars the window gaskets were deteriorated pretty badly. The rear especially, all corners were leaking with any amount of rain, or a simple car wash. So much so that I've owned this car for slightly over a month and have only washed it once. I started searching immediately for a gasket solution, which many places led me to believe does not exist anymore. Flash forward a couple of weeks, I come across a seller on Australian eBay that has gaskets for what he lists as fitting the Subaru Leone 1800 GFT 2 Door. Many emails were exchanged, with detailed measurements and pictures of my car for reference. As it turns out, he has the gaskets. And is willing to ship them to the States. And that's the rear installed, 100% dead on fitment, the coupe specific window trim will fit in these things perfectly when I'm done blacking them out. So if your hardtop coupe needs window gaskets and you think there is no option available, look no further. Contact www.newoldcarcompany.com.au for your replacements.
hatchsub
If you had posted I would have sent you to a place in Australia as well. I had the same issue with my former coupe. Is this the one that the guy has been trying to sell for years on cl?
86BRATMAN
Yeah, it is. I finally broke down and went to look at it lol. Got it for much less than he was asking. I need to make a ride thread one of these days.

carfreak85
Now what we REALLY need is a new source for the side window seals.
86BRATMAN
Same seller, it took them quite a while to respond to me on eBay. If you go to the website and use their direct email you should get a much faster reply. I would go days at a time without a response, but after I was given the email address for future discussion it went a lot better.
sub1980s
Did go to website as well and mail them, was keen on tailgate rubber as well after I contacted them. Presumed they only like selling spares internally. The pictures on ebay don't show much just backside of rubber, and uses the same picture, is repeated, may be a poor copy? Not used any from this company. But from 86Bratman pictures it looks fine, picture a little bit blurred. 86BRATMAN
There was a post not too long ago saying that the wagon rear window gasket was still available from the dealer. And your wagon uses the same front gasket as the brat and other Ea81 bodies, except the hardtop coupe which has different trim molding.
carfreak85
I'm pretty sure the hardtop has a completely different part number for the front windshield glass, not just the trim.
86BRATMAN
You may be right, I've only ever had the brat/hatch parts books. Fsm's and parts books are pretty hard to come by for these nowadays.
