DaveT
Is it just mine, or are they all nearly worthless unless you park under the transmitting tower? The stock radios in my 25 year old loyales were better. I recently upgraded them with Nakamichi radios, so I guess I'm going shopping again. Edited June 26, 2016 by DaveT
Fairtax4me
I've heard similar complaints about reception with the newer radios. They have antennas that arent large enough to properly recieve the signal, so they use signal boosters to amplify the signal that goes to the head unit. Problem is, the boosters just amplify everything, including white noise and interference. Best thing you can do is install a proper antenna, but that requires cutting a hole in the body. DaveT
Ah, I'll look at that first. I can test with a loose antenna first.
