Ward
I have just received a 2006 Cross Sport Forester and it still has the original Panasonic audio head unit installed. I have no idea how to read or understand Japanese so I am struggling to figure out all the features and functions. It has a soft touch menu tilt screen, single slot CD/DVD and an SD slot. I have worked out the AM/FM tuner and presets, and how to open the screen to access the CD and SD slots, but I am not sure if the SD is capable of playing audio. It picks up the card when I insert it, but then comes up with NO SD CARD on the screen. It looks like the head unit has an HDD as well but I have no idea how it works? porcupine73
Just grasping at straws but what size is the SD card? Back in '06 maybe the larger SD cards weren't so common or supported, maybe say something 4GB at the most maybe even smaller?
Ward
Thanks for the feedback. I never even considered the size of the SD card being an issue. The one I have is 8GB so it is quite possible it won't recognise it. I'll try a smaller capacity card but at the end of the day it's not a real big issue. I wouldn't mind having an English translation of the user manual though.
