lmdew
A friend at work has a 99 Legacy Outback that Radio memory and interior overhead lights not working. The radio works but looses the time and stations anytime you turn the car off. The overhead lights are not working either. I'm out of town so I don't have access to my computer manuals. Anyone have the FSM for a 1999 Legacy Outback Wagon? Do the lights and radio go through the illumination control box? Thanks Larry
Fairtax4me
No they don't. Checked the FSM and the radio and interior lighting (room lights) share power from fuse 25 in the underhood fuse panel. Does it have an aftermarket radio or the factory radio? john in KY
Both the radio memory and overhead light are wired to have full-time 12v so probably just a fuse problem as suggested.
lmdew
Yes, radio works, just no memory function. Thanks, I'll pass the info on to the owner. Larry
Cougar
The memory fuse along with the fuse for the dome light are located in the fuse panel under the hood.
