Fatenarr
I keep getting a misfire on cylinder 4 and I put in new plugs and wires and I'm still getting a misfire under load typically going uphill. Next I'll try the coil. My main question is how do I know which cylinder is # 4 in case I need to do an injector?
golucky66
My buddies Impreza 97 had a misfire when under load, the coil was bad. For some reason I can't remember which one it is, it's a rear cylinder (closer to the seats) and whichever plug is further back. i'm pretty sure its passenger side
1 Lucky Texan
#4 is left-side, rear.
idosubaru
Most likely on of the following: Injector Coil pack Timing tensioner is on that side Tight valves - but I think 96 is still HLAs so that would not be possible
ocei77
If you have a 2.2 (since it's not an OB),, the last choice is a burnt exhaust valve, O. Edited August 8, 2016 by ocei77
