idahohay
Is there a hinge pin kit for 1993 Subaru Legacy? Driver's door is obviously sagging and letting in a little air at the top. I don't see a hinge pin kit listed anywhere, but they are definitely wore allowing the door to sag. Any suggestions?
1 Lucky Texan
if you can get to it, maybe some kind of shim behind the lower hinge plate?
mikaleda
I've had several of these first gen legacy's into 300k+ miles. I've never had to mess with the hing pins and I live on a nasty dirt road. Replacement of the door hinge may be your best bet. They unblot from the door and the body. 1 Lucky Texan
I was told by a collision shop guy once that they sometimes put a jack under a special thing that goes in the latch and force doors upwards to 'adjust' alignment.!!!!! I didn't like the way that sounded but...? I think they also have a bar with a device that fits into the latch they can 'lever' a door up with. And there are ways to use shimes. usually, you need new pins and bushings but, I guess there are a few ways to 'rig' a repair.
