90gt
Where do you get your valve cover gaskets from? I really dont want to order online and wait weeks for new gaskets to arrive, lordco/napa etc dont order anything "jdm". My question is, is there valve cover gaskets, spark plug gaskets that will fit off of a car from north america? motor is a EJ20g, out of a 90 legacy Thank You,
matt167
Usdm ej25D should work. With a JDM, opposed forces is your friend. An EDM will be close enough for not to. It will tell u if something crosses. Www.partsouq.com gets stuff from overseas quickly.
86BRATMAN
There is no usdm gasket equivalent for the 1st gen legacy ej20g.
wtdash
There is no usdm gasket equivalent for the 1st gen legacy ej20g. I was just going to suggest the '96 EJ25D version...no go either? But I've read that those early Legacy EJ20G's were....unique. There may (not) be some useful info from this Thread on the LC BBs. I 2nd the partsouq.com resource...but you'll need a part number, AFAIK. Edited September 28, 2016 by wtdash
matt167
I tried to look it up with Opposed Forces. but it only goes back to 1993 EDM which did not have a turbo at that time.. The other resource is www.japanparts.com which has part diagrams and you can gain part numbers. You could also order from them. Sites a bit slow tho Partsouq requires a chassis number to look up parts. Otherwise you have to search a P/N yourself and see if they can get it. 86BRATMAN
Pricing and shipping is usually cheaper from the site you posted, sometimes even ends up being cheaper in total than using a US dealer site. I've used it several times over the years.

90gt
Bump! Went to do the valve cover gasket and found out it wasnt the gasket leaking after all, as it turns out, the metal around the spark plug is broken right off, is this something that is jb weld-able? or is the head screwed? i circled the part thats broken off in the attached picture. matt167
I'd use JB weld type stuff for sure. Its not structural and will work fine.
