Barra
Hi Folks, Looking at putting a weber carb (32/36) on my Brumby but prior to that I am looking at upgrading the exhaust to see if I can release any more power. I don't hat a catalytic converter, so any ideas on what set up I should run after the "Y" connection? I was thinking 2 inches, resonator and free-flow muffler? Cheers, Barra
dfoyl
Could go 2 1/4" rather than 2" - some have gone to 2 1/2" but I think for a Weber set up 2 1 1/4" is more than sufficient. Add a hotdog for the mid-pipe.
Barra
Hi dfoyl, Thanks for your thoughts, i will consider that. Happy for as many views as possible. Just want to get it right, not too big and not too small (sounds familiar?). Cheers, Barra
BEECHBM69
I run two inch stainless with a Magnaflow muffler on all of mine. Sounds good, and it will be the last exhaust you put on the car. Dan
Norcalbratcap
2" pipe then resonator then 90 degree turn upward through the bed behind the seats and a flapper to keep water out and look badass.
Loyale 2.7 Turbo
I kindly suggest you to use a two inches Diameter piping, and a free flow muffler, only.I've been runnin' my "BumbleBeast" since 1993 with that setup, with great results.~► http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/topic/71510-ideas-on-swaping-a-weber-carb-on-ea82%C2%B4s/?do=findComment&comment=1027113Kind Regards. bratman2
Another 2" with Magnaflow stainless steel muffler. Had mine for years and sounds good, not too loud!

Wobs
Hi Barra, Did you get any noticeable power increase from the 2" system? Where in the system did the muffle get fitted? And do you get any droning sound from it? I'm running a bog stock ea81 with the original carb. Cheers, Wobs.
