tucka786
I'm picking an old project up again and need some help to test a EA81 engine on a test stand . I have the engine running on the test stand for a very short while as the cooling radiator was not connected . I'd like to test the engine for longer and connect the radiator and water pipes . I've connected the radiator main pipes to the water pump ans thermostat housing on the manifold . I need some advice on the 2 heater hoses , one coming from the water pump and the other from the manifold ? Can I connect these hoses together so the water flows around the engine as I will not be using a heater core ? Also should I leave the cooling fan on the radiator running on constantly as I test the engine to avoid any overheating ? Any help / advice appreciated . Thanks . DaveT
Loop of hose for the heater, yes. Fan running on the radiator is a good idea.
