crazyhorse001 Posted December 4, 2016 Share Posted December 4, 2016 So I had a fwd turbo XT follow me home, on a trailer I think i have a handle on reviving it, but welcome additional help. Especially since its a turbo. 1st, i'm gonna disable the fuel pump. Trying to keep from getting trash into the fuel system. Next I plan on cranking the engine to see if it builds oil pressure. if that checks out, I will fire it with carb cleaner sprayed after the maf, but before the turbo. Once I know it will fire, I'll start on the fuel system, cleaning it out. ironworkerboomer Posted December 5, 2016 Share Posted December 5, 2016 I always squirt Marvel Mystery oil in the cylinders if it hasn't ran in who knows how long, just in case it was parked due to overheating issues.Ii let it set for a day, or how ever long you can stand it. Unfortunately the body is pretty swiss cheese from the broken back glass. Also the sunroof tray is rotted from some idiot stuffing plastic bags around the seal. Then to my amazement stayed running on the craptastic stuff in the tank! It ran well enough to unload itself off the trailer with 4 flat tires!
