ThosL
I have been having erratic start ups with my Subaru after the freeze ups, snow or freezing rain at night. When I go to start up it is very erratic then gets better. Any suggestions?
montana tom
A good tune up never hurts. Is it cranking but not firing ? When its 10 below zero mine might start and die on the first try and then start and run rough for 30 seconds or so. Now my 94 2.2 with 300,000+ on it , takes a little longer ... might even need a jump... of course the battery is 7 years or more, old amazing it works at all below zero. Your in southern fairfield county it almost never gets near zero there.
Numbchux
Year and model of your Subaru would be relevant information here. So would miles, condition, maintenance, and/or modifications history Edited December 21, 2016 by Numbchux
1 Lucky Texan
most common would be dew/moisture causing misfires - it gets cooked-off after the engine warms up. less common might be Engine Temps sensor failing to 'choke' cold engine. That's it, runs fine after warm-up. 97 Outback 2.5.
