dkclaassen
New to the forum and of course I have a problem. Legacy is 2 years old and decided to bleed brakes when doing tire rotation. Used a vacumn bleeder and when I finished I have no pedal resistance. I did not follow sequence as rotation did not match up. Never had a problem on older vehicles. Where did I screw up? 1 Lucky Texan
did you let the reservoir go dry or religiously top it off as you proceeded? did you leave one bleeder open when working at a different caliper?
dkclaassen
Kept reservoir full. One bleeder open at a time. Was sucking air around bleeders. Will try teflon tape and proper diagonal bleed sequence.
somick
I have been using vacuum bleeder for years. Try gravity bleed: open the bleeder screw and let the brake fluid drip. Watch for air bubbles. When done close the bleeder screw and move to another wheel. Make sure you have the master cylinder full. Good luck, Sam
1 Lucky Texan
if it's just air at the bleeders - re-doing the procedure as you said should straighten it out.
Fairtax4me
Did you leave the cap open on the MC while bleeding? I've found on some cars you have to leave the cap open to get them to bleed properly.
