Tacoman
I am the proud owner of a 2017 Impreza with a 5 speed Manual Transmission. I love the car and its an amazing value for the money. I had to wait a couple of months for the 5 speed but I like it a lot better than the CVT. The one thing that is driving me nuts is the hill holder feature. It is way too aggressive on the brakes. It also engages on very slight hills where you really don't need it. Is it possible to dial it back from 11 to about 5 or 6? If not is it possible to completely disable it? If no one knows how on this message board, I will talk to Subaru on the first (and probably last) dealer maintenance. Thanks John Edited February 21, 2017 by Tacoman
Naked Buell
Ask the dealer but I think you can adjust it.
turbosubarubrat
I don't know how they operate but if its like the ones from the 80's and 90's that use a cable you can just disconnect the cable at the clutch fork.
Tacoman
I found a method to completely disable it in the manual. Its not a simple button, its long series of non-intuitive steps. I will see if it works. I should have to read the manual first. I was really hoping to find a way of making it less sensitive. Particularly on shallow hills where it is really annoying. It kicks in on almost any incline, places where it doesn't do any good. I will talk to the dealership about it on the first service. It would be a good idea if it was actually practical. Thanks for the help John
