Naked Buell
Sounds like a battery problem. Check connections and the battery. While you are at it, check the alternator too.

GreaseMonkey03
I'm no alarm expert but that doesn't sound right at all. Can anyone confirm that the panic alarm shuts the car off? did you check the condition of your battery terminals?
bstone
Do your neighbors a favor and cut the wires going to the alarm siren/horn. I did that and they thanked me. I can still arm the alarm which causes the headlights to flash and lock the ignition when the alarm is tripped. as to your problem: check the battery and try to reprogram the FOB Edited February 22, 2017 by bstone
tomww10
you can not cut wire, this is a factory panic disabling alarm, this disables car from starting.
1 Lucky Texan
what about cycling the key from OFF to ON (not start) quickly 3 times? (on some cars, maybe older models, there was a button under the dash you had to push too)might be some info at www.cars101.com Edited February 24, 2017 by 1 Lucky Texan
211
My son's Honda Accord did the same thing. The solution was to lock and unlock the door manually with the key a couple times. He was able to get in and start the car without the alarm going off after that. Its a long shot but worth a try. Many alarms have some sort of "reset" feature which requires the cycling of a key in a lock or ignition.
