1-3-2-4
I think the block has about 4-5 around the motor I can't find in the FSM of what torque level they should be nor do I see anything about gaskets? I'm just going to use some anaerobic gasket maker on it and it should be ok?
GeneralDisorder
Loctite 545 and most of them have aluminum crush washers. There are 7 on the block that I can think of plus the two on the bottom of the oil pump. Torque is not important. Tighten till you hear the crack and back it off 1/4 turn. GeneralDisorder
And the threaded carpenter nails holding the intake together on a Ford. GD

Fairtax4me
And the threaded carpenter nails holding the intake together on a Ford. GD I do love those. Especially when they break! Could be worse! Could be a powersmoke that you have to lift the cab off to put head gaskets on it!

Me and Fords don't get along. I usually just turn down those jobs. GD
Fairtax4me
Yeah there were a couple years with the 5.4 that were like that too. Buddy of mine works in a diesel shop and does that kinda stuff all the time. Not my cup of tea.
