06SubLegTx
Hello, The car I recently purchased has 96,000 on it. 2006 Legacy has a small issue that I have noticed. When I am pull up to a traffic light the engine rpm's drop down to the point I think it may want to stall. This is more prevalent when the A/C is on, but it still does it a little less when it is off. I have read that the IAC (Idle Control Valve) sometimes get clogged/restricted a little. Can the EGR also cause this? Thanks for any help
GeneralDisorder
It does not have an idle control. It has a drive by wire throttle body. One of the common problems we see is these getting dirty and not responding the way the computer asks. It is most prevalent with 05/06/07 DBW throttle bodies. You can try cleaning it with induction cleaner but if that doesn't work a new throttle body will be needed. They ain't cheap. GD
06SubLegTx
I will try that. It looks like one was done already (the new gasket looks very clean/new.) I will get some throttle body cleaner, and let you all know if it works. Thanks for your help..

Hello, Yea, I am going to purchase all the parts in a week and do it. Does someone make a special shop tool for the cam seals?
GeneralDisorder
Shop tool for installation? Yes Subaru makes them through Kent Moore. They are about $45 IIRC. Special order. You don't need it though. GD
