1997reduxe
This is another theoretical. A couple months ago someone here made the comment on some discussion about oil pumps or oil, that by the time you see the oil light the egine is already sucking air, something like that. I wondered if anyone here has installed better or aftermarket guages or warning light etc to have finer or earlier warning level? Wondering. 1 Lucky Texan
well, since the stock sensor only comes on at 3 psi or something crazy low, just about any oil pressure gauge should allow for better monitoring - some of those 'may' have a configurable alarm or light? hoping to learn from others responding. forester2002s
Any oil-pressure gauge would work.Be aware that there are 2 types:- using a small-bore hose, teeing off into an oil passage; or- electric-sender type.Either way, actual psi accuracy is not that important. It's the trend over time that will give you the most useful info. Edited March 31, 2017 by forester2002s
