6 lug pics of wheels and tires Thread

Recommended Posts

Hey guys. Now I have seen plenty of you guys on here with the bigger tires and rims for 4x4 applications but can I get some pics of you guys that have 6 lug and have done more of a performance look?

I have an 88 Rx and I want to do more of a street racer look. I know Turbone has I think 17's on his but he also went 5 lug.

I plan to do 6 lug, cheaper, and want to go 16 and tires that don't rub or you have to cut the car.

So any pics and advice of what you have done and off set that I need would be great.

Plus I like looking at the pics too.  :)

The challenge will be finding wheels with high enough offset/backspacing. The subaru wheels are very high offset. I ran 17x8 +48 wheels on my wagon (5-lug) without any trouble, but I think you'll be hard-pressed to find anything close to that in a 6-lug. Since most 6-lug

I know generally speaking the Japanese 6-lug applications tend to be higher than the US options.

I've seen several late model minivans with 6-lug wheels and look like high-offset. I think I remember looking one up and it wasn't the same bolt circle, but there might be others worth looking into.

Does anybody know the offset of the stock 13 inch rims on the 88 Rx so that I can research to see if I could find something close?

And from you guys that know, what is close and what is NOT going to work, so I don't buy the rims and then they don't work.

Thx guys

Wow, seriously? No one has any pics of the some rims on a Subie that is 6 lug that isn't huge?

I saw with the "search button" that there are rims out there that have the same stock offset as the 13 inch rims.

I was just looking forward to some pics.  ;)

Check out post #18 in my Ruby Sue build thread.  16" steelies off of a Honda Passport.  I drilled the wheels for 4 lug instead of the hubs to six but that shouldn't matter for a reference picture.
