2001 Forester Rotted lower tie bar on core support

How hard is the core support held in? My 2001 Forester lower tie bar is basically hanging loose from the core support rusted in that area. The end plates are not there anymore and the lower tie bar can be twisted by hand..

 

I'm considering getting a JDM SF5 STI front cut and using the good core support along with everything else, since it's getting the JDM EJ205/ 5spd anyway
