subaru_styles
hey all. i will be in portland june 28 & 29. main purpose is to look for a place to live. so if anyone wants to meet up and show me around to some places and rental agencies, that would be great. i kindof thinking of the hillsburrito or beaverton. i've done a little searching but here's mainly what im looking for. away from downtown, but near MAX lines SAFE neighborhood/ comunity I'd much rather live in a suburbia type place than a quote un qoute "cool" area 3 bedroom 2 car garage:brow: . usually places where every house looks the same is cheaper. so if anyone wants to meet up and possibly help> post, PM, email, or call me! 541 390 6604 thanks, Brad
Flowmastered87GL
Up until you said 2 car garage and 3 bedroom my place mighta fit that, its a 1 car garage and 2 bedroom, decent neighborhood because its hidden away behind an old folks home. you would be the 3rd USMB member in a 12 unit complex if you moved in I really dont know much about the other neighborhoods though, beaverton is strange.... my place is ok, but afew blocks down has TONS of car break ins... nicky nighteyes
Well I live in a "cool" area (NE) which also has a reputation of being unsafe, but I have seen that crime rates are actually HIGHER in hillsboro and beaverton. Especially vehicle related ones, hell I leave my car doors unlocked all the time, not to mention I have a derelict impreza with some nice goodies on it that has never been touched, of course thats getting towed to the new owners house soon. So I would highly recommend NE, you could get a 3 bedroom house some places out here for cheap. Buddy of mine just rented one with a one car garage and a huge backyard for 850/month. right on the max too.... plus suburbs just suck.........(no offense to anyone that lives in one)

88xt6joe
I would not recommend SE I used to live there and my roommates car got stolen twice and cars where broken into all the time. I liked the SE alot but not when it came to my vechicals being on the street. BTW Tualatin is low crime but I think its pretty pricey to live there. I used to work out there and it was pretty nice. GLCraig
yeah around 82 is pretty bad, but my aunts live more in inner SE and it's not too bad. Outer SE around 122nd isn't bad either. The west side is a fair bit more expensive unless you live south of town like in Wilsonville
