brentlysubaru
Will a set of front lower aluminum control arms off a 2005 sti sedan fit my 97 impreza? I found a good deal on a set. The traverse links are going bad on mine and thought this would be a great upgrade
matt167
Not without a FULL STI swap.. If you really want alloyt LCA's, then you CAN use GC ( 1992-2001 Impreza ) STI control arms that you can find through a JDM importer. They will work for you. Prepare to drop a lot of coin on them though
GeneralDisorder
Yes they will fit. You will have to swap the front lower bushing. The best deal is buying them from Subaru through the SPT catalog for a WRX. The same arms are used on 2006 non STI WRX's. You do not need a full STI swap. They are a direct bolt on. We have installed them on a 96 Legacy and many other applications. GD
brentlysubaru
Ya these are JDM 05 sti control arms. Would I have to change the bushing on these ones also? I can get the set for $150. I heard that they were better for lifting the impreza.
Caboobaroo
Yes, the front bushing has to be changed out. The STI runs a 61mm long bushing where everythin else runs a 55mm bushing.
