lmdew
Friend has a 2002 Outback Wagon. Trans is slipping in Drive. It was run out of fluid. I have a used auto and was trying to find the codes, but I'm not finding the Autos. TZ1A4ZCDCA-RN TZ1A42CDBA-RM Same FDR? Thanks, Larry
idosubaru
No clue, hopefully someone knows. I'm sure you're aware of the last resort, mind numbing task of pulling the diff plug and use paint and counting to figure out the gear ratio.
wtdash
Larry, This might help: opposedforces.com\parts....>>>Model>>drill down to the parts section>>Train>>Diff (trans) and look under Gear Set-hypoid I can't get there @ work. TD
lmdew
I did drill down on the above site, but I did not see the Trans #'s listed. If all else fails, I'll install the new trans and jack one side of the car off the ground. I'll mark the wheels and put in drive. After 10 rotations of the wheels, they should be in the same location if the Front and Rear Diff are the same. Thanks, Larry
wtdash
Edit: TZ1A4ZCDCA What This Fits - See Link, but don't trust it 100%. TZ1A4ZCDBA (assuming that 2 is a typo above) What This Fits - See Link, but don't trust it 100%. Edited July 21, 2017 by wtdash

Td I am dubiuos of this accuracy for US market. Since hte latter is listed for a 2.5 LL bean 2.5 Legacy. Doesn't exist in US. Also listed for a VDC model???? wouldn't that be a different trans? GT's have 4.44 gears, Regular Legacys and LL beans have 4.11 I wouldn't trust this as conclusive
wtdash
^+1 I wouldn't either on review. Will edit later.
lmdew
Thanks wtdash! I'll help my co-worker install and we'll verify front and rears are turning at the same rate. Later, Larry
