Hectus77
Hi I been replacing the camshaft seals on my ej20 non turbo sohc, 1998 legacy. Now its time to put it all back together. I wonder if anyone have the torques for the cam pulleys/wheels, whatever their called in english, they have a 19mm bolt of i remember right, and does anyone know of a good trick how to avoid them to turn while fastening them? i also need torques for all the timingbelt stuff including the hydraulic tensioner and crankshaft pulleybolt if anyone has that. Thanks in advance.
Gloyale
Cam bolts very tight. Crank bolt even tighter. Other bolts just enough tight. Excact torquing of these parts not required
Fairtax4me
Cam pulley bolts are around 60ftlbs Crank bolt 140 Timing pulleys tensioner etc 30ish. Those are more of a "feel the torque" thing since sometimes torquing to the proper torque will strip the threads. I use a regular hand ratchet and snug them and they're always tight to remove again.
